With new multi-year funding from Ontario’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, we’re poised to grow. We’re investing in our tech platform, adding new features that will help us engage more households, and expanding our footprint to five new cities across Ontario. We’re looking for a Communications and Engagement Specialist to help us get there.

The Communications and Engagement Specialist plays a critical role at Project Neutral, stewarding partner and participant engagement to make climate action accessible and desirable for everyone.

In this role, you will develop and lead the organization’s communication strategy, including content across our web app, website, email/SMS workflows, social media and digital marketing campaigns. You will work closely with our Managing Director to establish partnerships to bring PN’s tools to 5 new cities in Ontario. You will build and lead a multi-city Knowledge Exchange Network to share best practices on household engagement among our municipal and NGO delivery partners. You will support our partners’ outreach activities, including by developing toolkits, resources and events for community ambassadors and managing digital marketing activities.

You’re a nimble, creative communicator who knows how to build community, keep people engaged, and drive on-the-ground action. You’re passionate about supporting residents’ efforts to take action at home and in their communities. You have exceptional communications skills and can write effectively for a variety of audiences, including municipal and NGO decision makers, community leaders and residents. You’re adept at digital marketing and organizing. You’re a self-starter who wants to shape the future of household engagement on climate change, and are eager to grow with our organization.
